Q. What types of pianos can I use PianoRec with?
You can use PianoRec with digital pianos and silent pianos that have a headphone jack.
Q. Which smartphones are compatible with PianoRec?

Q. What video recording or audio recording apps can I use?
You can use standard video and audio recording apps on iOS and Android devices, as well as KORG EZ Rec and others.

Q. Can I adjust the volume on my smartphone while recording?
You cannot adjust the recording volume on your smartphone. Please adjust the volume on your digital piano.
Q. How do I control the microphone volume?
Microphone volume control is not available.
Q. Can I use earphones other than the included earphone-mic?
Yes, as long as they have a mini-stereo plug. For earphones with a microphone, please use CTIA-standard earphones.
Q. Can I use Bluetooth headphones with PianoRec?
Bluetooth connections are not supported by PianoRec.
Q. Are there alternative USB cables that I can use instead of the included USB adapter?
For USB Type-C connections, please use the included adapter. For connections to iPhones with a Lightning connector, please use the Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter.
*Non-branded or longer cables may not function properly.
Q. Can I record directly from an electric guitar or electro-acoustic guitar?
Direct connection is not supported.
Q. I can't connect to the app.
Some apps may take time to recognize the device. Please wait a few moments for it to connect.
Q. After removing PianoRec from my digital piano, it made a loud sound.
When ending a recording, please lower the volume on your digital piano before disconnecting PianoRec.
Q. When using communication or streaming apps like Zoom, Skype, or YouTube, the sound from my digital piano is muted, and others can’t hear it.
To transmit the sound from your digital piano during calls, streaming, or online lessons, you may need to adjust the audio or noise-canceling settings in the app. Please check each app’s settings as they vary.
Q. Background noise is recorded along with my piano.
In your app settings, enable external microphone options. Note that some Android devices may not support this setting.
