Complete Automation via MIDI

Almost every parameter in OASYS PCI can be controlled via MIDI, allowing easy modulation and automation of mixing, synthesis, and effects from any MIDI sequencer or real-time MIDI controller.

To start with, you can assign up to two realtime MIDI modulation sources to any knob, slider, button, or menu on any synth or effect control panel. Just click on the parameter's name, select the desired MIDI controller, dial in an amount, and you're done.

Speaking of MIDI controllers - OASYS PCI offers an extensive list of standard controllers, including the usual suspects of Mod Wheel, Aftertouch, Pitch Bend, and the like, along with more interesting options such as Exponential Velocity and a selection of Keyboard Tracking settings.

Assignable Controllers A-H

Plus, there there are 8 assignable MIDI controllers (A-H) to use as you'd like. On the left, you can see that Foot Controller has been assigned to controller B. In the Mod Palette above, you can see that the actual name of the controller appears in the mod source menu.

Also, all synth and effect control panel knobs, sliders, buttons, and menus can send and receive MIDI System Exclusive parameters, for automation with MIDI sequencer programs. No MIDI controller assignment is needed - just move the onscreen knob, slider, etc., and it automatically sends out its own unique SysEx message.

Finally, all knobs, sliders, and buttons on the Mixer windows have preset MIDI controller assignments. This means that you can easily control volume, pan, solo, mute, and effects send level, pre/post, and mute from a MIDI sequencer.
