To avoid this, make sure that you are running a stripped-down set of system extensions, as recommended in the OASYS PCI Installation Guide. Additionally, make sure that AppleTalk is turned off. AppleTalk is known to interfere with MIDI communications. Top of Page Don't reduce motherboard PCI Latency Time (Windows) One user reported MIDI problems after he had reduced the PCI latency time (how long a device can capture the PCI bus).
