Knobs and sliders don't move when modulated via MIDI
controllers
When you modulate Control
Panel parameters using MIDI controllers, you'll hear the
changes, but you won't see the knobs moving. This is normal.
If the knob moves, the Patch or Effect becomes edited - and
you wouldn't want to edit your sound every time you moved
the mod wheel.
SysEx Parameter Changes do
edit parameters, and so the knobs will move correspondingly
(though you can disable this if you wish, using the
Preferences window).
MIDI changes to the mixer
windows (volume, pan, etc.) edit the Multi, and so the knobs
and sliders will move there as well.

Control Panel knobs are jumpy when moved
Control Panel knobs can be
jumpy when moved if you have all of the following checkboxes
enabled simultaneously in the OASYS PCI
Preferences:
- "Send MIDI parameter
change messages"
- "Receive MIDI
parameter change messages"
- "Update control panels
from MIDI" or "Update Mixer Windows from
MIDI"
- "Editor responds to
OMS/Freemidi Controllers" (MacOS) or "Editor responds to
MIDI controllers" (Windows)
This combination of
settings can cause knobs (and other Control Panel objects,
such as sliders) to respond strangely, because the settings
create a SysEx feedback loop.
To eliminate the feedback
loop and solve the problem:
Turn off the Send and
Receive MIDI parameter change messages when you are
not using a sequencer,
OR
Turn off "Editor Responds
to OMS/Freemidi Controllers" (MacOS) or "Editor responds to
MIDI controllers" (Windows) when you are using a
sequencer.
