Configuring Vision
Before using OASYS PCI
with Vision, you'll need to set up OASYS PCI for use with
OMS. For information and detailed instructions, please see
OASYS
PCI and OMS.
If you will be using OASYS
PCI as your main audio I/O hardware, start by setting up
OASYS PCI as an OMS device, and then move on to
Configuring
Audio. When you've
completed those steps, you're done.
If you will be using OASYS
PCI as a synthesizer and effects processor in conjunction
with another audio I/O card, such as the MOTU 2408, start by
setting up OASYS PCI as an OMS device. Next, check out the
information in Using
OASYS PCI with Other Audio
Cards. After that,
you're done!

Configuring Audio
Select OASYS PCI as the
ASIO device
To configure Vision DSP/SV
Pro for use with the OASYS PCI as the audio
hardware:
1. Open Vision DSP/SV
Pro.
2. In Vision DSP/SV Pro,
under Audio>Audio System, select Acadia. This enables
Opcode's Acadia audio system.
3. In Audio>Hardware
Setup, select the OASYS PCI from the Devices pop-up
menu.
Vision may take quite a
while to update after this step - up to one or two minutes.
It takes so long that you might think that the computer has
crashed, but don't be concerned; it will come back
eventually. Consider this time as an opportunity for a rare
moment of peaceful introspection.
4. In the Audio
Instruments & Routings Window, enable the inputs and
outputs that you'd like to use by placing a check-mark next
to their names.
The OASYS PCI will now be
available for use in Vision DSP/SV Pro.
