Lily Allen Dips Into The Kaoss
Lily Allen is well on her way to becoming a household name. The multi-talented Allen has appeared in movies, hosted her own BBC television series, and created a line of fashion products – all in addition to her exploding musical career. After her smash debut Allright, Still, Lily Allen followed up with the widely acclaimed It's Not Me, It's You in Early 2009.
Her outspoken manner has earned Lily Allen the inevitable comparisons to Amy Winehouse, Madonna, and other strong-minded female pop stars. Nonetheless, her music stands strongly on its own. The recent It's Not Me, It's You entered the U.S. charts at number five, and has already been certified a platinum seller in the UK.
In addition to her own creative output, Ms. Allen has added her vocal talents to some very memorable musical outings with Robbie Williams, Dizzee Rascal, Kaiser Chiefs, and Klaxons vocalist Jamie Reynolds. Lily is currently (as we write this) busy finishing a few dates in the UK before heading off to play in South America.
Somehow, in the midst of all this, Lily Allen was able to get her hands on the amazing Korg Kaossilator. As Lily describes it "I've been having so much fun with my Kaossilator on stage and while traveling...it's so easy to come up with cool beats and crazy sounds!"
Based around Korg's X-Y Touchpad KAOSS technology, the handheld Kaossilator is more of an instrument and less of an effects processor than other KAOSS products. But like all KAOSS products, it's simply a blast to play. Check out the new pink version, that’s what Lily’s been using!
