The KM2 KAOSS MIXER uses a high quality digital crossfader; that is, it is actually controlling the mixer digitally. Audio is not passing thru the Crossfader itself. When it wears out, the Crossfader can be easily replaced from the front panel - no need to open up or dissassemble the mixer.
