Accounting Assistant/Part Time
Part time 20-25 hours per week, preferably 5 days. Compute, classify, record, and verify numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounts Payable Duties:
- Daily data entry of all correctly coded domestic accounts payable invoices.
- Assist with: sorting and mailing all vendor checks on a timely basis.
- Assist with maintaining all A/P files in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Assist with new vendor setup and research of vendor account information.
- Responsible for downloading the FedEx and UPS account information and entering it into the accounts payables system.
- Assist with the bi-weekly and monthly employee expense reports thru the Concur Expense System.
Billing Duties:
- Responsible for processing RMA (credit).
- Researches any problems with the credits.
- Assist with the daily reconciliation in the absence of the Business Processing Auditor.
- Handle invoices in the absence of the Business Processing Auditor.
- Other duties or special projects as directed by the Accounting Manager.
Other:
- Back up Accounts Receivable and reception coverage
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate. Some college preferred but not necessary.
- Accounts Payable and Billing background is ideal.
- Strong data entry skills and knowledge of excel required.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial files.
- Knowledge of Peoplesoft a plus but not necessary.

Marketing Coordinator
Korg USA is looking for a marketing coordinator who will be responsible for executing support initiatives related to retail promotions, live events and in-store display projects for the iconic KORG, Marshall, Lag and VOX musical instrument brands. This independent thinker will be required to maintain their own responsibilities while handling multiple projects insuring that the “little things” get done, and all the while being able to see the big picture. An analytical and disciplined worker with the ability to accurately handle a fast paced demanding environment is essential.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the marketing support manager maintaining budgets and tracking project resources.
- Updating marketing resource files stored on the server.
- Logging and reporting of new product content posted on our dealer FTP site.
- Satisfying dealer requests by communicating with the production manager or brand managers.
- Tracking and reporting monthly use retail marketing materials: literature, banners, promotional items, etc.
- Researching and negotiating with vendors for banners, shirts, trade show giveaways, etc.
- Monitoring trends and proactively suggesting purchasing of retail support materials in a timely fashion to prevent shortages and rush charges.
- Investigating and proposing additional promotional or store display materials.
- Arranging and overseeing tasks assigned to interns
- Communicating and handling requests from the marketing support manager and outside vendors to keep projects moving forward and on-time.
- Tracking progress of larger projects and sharing updates with all managers involved
- Investigating and recommending components and/or vendors for POP displays and other retail related projects
- Assisting with the preparation and executing of trade show and live events
- Processing vendor orders and organizing documentation for the trade show services
- Verifying all needs (service orders, products, literature, etc.) are addressed in advance for trade shows and live events.
- Specifying procedures for repetitive trade show projects (show badges, giveaways, etc.) and executing plans on schedule.
- Tracking progress of trade show and live event plans and reporting to the marketing support manager.
- Assisting with the planning and execution of larger trade shows, such as AES, NAMM.
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS: The marketing support coordinator position requires an associate’s degree or higher. The ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks is required to keep timelines on schedule. Organization and communications skills are required to maintain focus and share updates and issues with other project team members.

Receptionist / Administrative Assistant
The Receptionist shall be responsible for greeting visitors and receiving telephone calls for the entire office and shall monitor the daily activities of the reception area. Additionally, the Receptionist shall provide information, and other routine administrative functions. When we enter any office, the first person to greet us is the receptionist. They create the first impression of the company, and reflects’ the attitude of the company. A smart, polite receptionist makes a positive impression on visitors and makes them feel confident about the company. They should also have complete knowledge about the company and its employees.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General Reception Duties – Open and Close the Switchboard, Direct Incoming Calls. Greet and direct all visitors, including vendors, clients, job candidates and customers. Manage the company’s lobby area.
- Answer multi line phone in a professional manner.
- Answer telephone calls promptly and efficiently; provide information to routine inquires or route calls to appropriate staff.
- Take messages for unavailable employees and communicate these messages to the proper personnel in a timely manner.
- Monitor Caller backlog / Address callers holding over 5 minutes in the ACD groups
- Have access and answer consumer emails in a regular, timely and professional manner. Be the “front line” on consumer correspondence.
- Key in DSM Sample orders
- Order Entry – Enter fax / email orders from Dealers / DSM’s and Retail Incentive Orders
- Warranty Claim Maintenance
- Open and Date Stamp incoming mail
- Daily / Monthly Mailings of Statements and Invoices
- Special Projects as requested
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including pleasant phone voice and ability to determine proper call routing.
- Strong Data Entry skills. Experience using Windows, Microsoft Outlook
- The ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- A strong customer service, front office, or music industry background.
